Pharaonic Wedding Festival

This small festival, held twice a year at the sacred site of Karnak temple, allows up to 40 couples to tie the knot in Pharaonic style, just like Egyptian Kings and Queens did more than five thousand years ago.
The ceremony still reflects the ancient rituals, featuring traditional wedding dresses, make-up and dances which are believed to bring the gods' blessing and eternal happiness.
