The Police are back together and on a world tour. This date finds them performing at Dublin's Croke Park.
The Police enjoyed phenomenal international success in the early Eighties with their infectious pop, driven by Stuart Copeland's phenomenal drumming, Sting's basslines and Andy Summers' wiry guitar riffs.
After forming in 1977 on the back of the UK punk explosion, the band's 1978 debut album Outlandos d'Amour, produced the hit single Roxanne. Regatta de Blanc, released in 1979, made the group stars in the UK and Europe, helped by the smash hit Message in a Bottle.
Over the next couple of years the band cracked the US and their 1983 album, Synchronicity, achieved multi-platinum status. The subsequent world tour was a record-breaking success, but the band never returned from the sabbatical that followed it, until now...
