Event Location: Hidden Valley, Irvine CA (Next to the Verizon Amphitheater)

Orange County Equality Coalition (OCEC) brought Pride back to Orange County in 2009 with “Picnic In The Park.” We are proud of the accomplishment of providing Orange County with its first pride since 2001. Although we had limited resources and little time, we wanted Orange County to experience Pride after the disappointing 2008 election. Community speakers and entertainers, along with a multitude of booths by nonprofit organizations, a BBQ and even a parade commenced a commitment by OCEC to host Pride yearly in Orange County.

Look for an even better Pride in August of 2010. We have already begun the planning and preparation to bring our community the Pride it deserves.
