Magick Happens - Summer Solstice
Saturday, November 3 2007, 3:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Have you run out of herbs? Pentagram gone wonky? If so, Magick Happens, a phoenix risen from the ashes, returns to one of the spookiest times of the year - the Saturday closest to Halloween. Not only a market, it's also has a new Witches Ball at Parramatta Town Hall.
As ever, it pulls together anything to do with witchcraft and paganism and will include stalls, workshops and demonstrations, with members of the local pagan community on hand to answer all your questions and also to offer a variety of tools of their religious trade - including incense, goddess figurines, crystals and good old books.
There will be live music from Spiral Dance, Urban Turban showing off their belly-dancing skills as well as Deborah Gray talking about witchcraft, her new book Kinky Couture and DVD.
When the walking around gets too much, relax with a clairvoyant, tarot reader or other diviner of the future, who may be able to tell you if you married the right person or bought the wrong house. If you don't like what you hear, there are therapists on hand to help with the angst.
